I’ve had decent luck keeping hinged knee braces from creeping by going ‘sleeve + anchors’: thin compression sleeve to manage sweat, light spritz of pre-tape adhesive, then two 1-inch athletic tape loops above/below the brace straps. It’s like giving the brace tiny snow tires; just patch-test the adhesive first and swap to hypoallergenic spray if the skin flares.
Set the brace with the knee at about 20° flexion, center the hinges on the joint line, then snug the distal strap over the gastroc shelf; in my clinic this cut ‘sliding’ way down, especially when we double-check it during preseason screening. If the athlete’s in slick tights, I switch to a model with silicone grippers, otherwise it still creeps.
