Evaluating the Effectiveness of Ultrasound in Injury Diagnosis

I’ve been using ultrasound imaging for assessing soft tissue injuries in athletes, and I’ve noticed varying levels of effectiveness depending on the injury type. Specifically, while it’s great for diagnosing tendon tears, I find it less reliable for muscle strains. I’m curious about others’ experiences with this tool and any tips for improving accuracy during diagnosis.

I get what you mean about the muscle strains — , they can be frustrating — i’ve had some success using dynamic ultrasound with those, and it seems like assessing them in real-time helps a lot. Maybe try integrating some functional testing alongside the imaging; it’s made a difference for me.
