Hop tests and heroics at 12 weeks

My 3 pm ACL eval tried to PR the single-leg hop test to “beat the chart,” then asked if that cleared him for tonight’s rec league game. Objective metrics inform return-to-sport, but graft ligamentization around 12 weeks doesn’t care about swagger — anyone else feel like a bouncer for impatient knees?

, same — my 3 pm heroes can PR the hop fresh, then wobble after a 5-min bike + 180° cut; I tell them ‘beating the chart doesn’t beat biology,’ especially at 12 weeks. One rule that helps: no rec league talk until quad index and a fatiguing hop battery both hit >=90% symmetry; if they argue, I show this: https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/50/13/804. Anyone else toss in Y-Balance or decel reps to puncture the swagger?
